Guunmong is a classic novel about the dream of Seong-jin, a disciple of yuk-gwan monk, who longed for worldly riches and honors. The story is like this. Seong-jin, who is reincarnated Yang-so-yu in the dream, live in wealth and honor with eight fairies reincarnated as human beings. However, he realizes that this is a futile dream, and he cultivate himself about the teachings of Buddha. Through this efforts, he goes to the world of paradise. Guunmong has two types of version. One is Korean, the other is Chinese. This material is Korean version, transcribed by hand in 1906. Kim Man-jung(1637-1692) wrote this novel to relieve his mother’s anxiety.
